No, Devon Rex cats are not any less allergy causing than any other
cat. There is no hypoallergenic breed of cat and Devon Rex are no
exception. All cats of all breeds produce a type of protein within their
mouth then distributed on their coat by way of licking, causing
allergies. And, a cat that may not be causing allergies at first can
become a problem as the allergens accumulate in the environment.
Unfortunately, there has been much hype about Devon Rex and a
few other breeds being better for people who suffer from cat
allergies. But it has been reported that 25% of all Devon Rex
rescues are there because eventually the allergy suffer begins to
suffer.

In addition, all mammals shed their hair and skin but Devon Rexes
maybe in smaller pieces due to their shorter coat.
