Why we have an adult available for adoption?

While we would love to keep each of our cats
forever, it becomes necessary to place one of
our beloved adults Devons from time to time so
that we are able to provide the maximum care
and attention to all of our kitties. Older cats
make wonderful pets but most of our adults
available would be between the age of one and
four, as we don't breed older cats. By that age,
they are already passed their kitten stage,
meaning they are more settled and have
learned what behaviors are not accepted in the
home (scratching furniture, etc). They have
already developed their look (kittens can
change their appearance significantly), and are
usually top examples of the breed.

Will an adult cat adjust to his/her new home?

Absolutely! Although it may take a few weeks for
the adult to feel comfortable in their new home,
Devons are sweet, dog-like cats that are
typically very outgoing. We will only place a
retired cat in a home that matches the cat's
personality. We would never place a cat that
would be unlikely to like or adjust to a new
home.

What is the cost for a retired adult Devon Rex?

Retired cats are available from time to time for a
adoption fee of $350 to cover the cost of the
veterinarian for the spay or neuter surgery and
micro-chip.

A very good friend of ours in Puget Sounds, Washington has
three beautiful Devon Rex adults available to the right homes.

Stitch - a wonderful neutered boy is 2-1/2 year old, a red tabby
and white with a beautiful curly coat. He is a little shy at first but
warms up quickly and is a real love. If you are interested in
Stitch, please email Wendy at
wenren@comcast.net
Wendy also has available two other adults, Tafatta (6)
and Tankarra (5), who are looking for a home where
they will get lots of attention. Their owner passed away
and his wife works very long hours which isn't fair to
the cats.  They were used to getting a lot of human
interaction. They have always been together and she
would want to place them together.  Tafatta has a skin
condition which responds well to medication but it is a
consideration. If you are interested please email
Wendy at
